The ages of A and B are in the ratio 9 is to 4 , seven years hence, the ratio of their ages are 5 is to 3.Find their ages ?.

Let the present age of A be 9x years and the present age of B be 4x years.
After 7 years:-
Age of A=9x+7years and
Age of B=4x+7years.
But according to the question
9x+7/4x+7=5/3
or 3(9x+7)=5(4x+7)
or 27x+21=20x+35
or27x-20x=35-21
or 7x=41
or x=14/7
or x=2
Hence, present age of A is 9×2=18years and present age of B is 4×2=8 years
