Let the Age of A and B are 9x amd 4x years respectively.
Then, seven year's hence,
A's age = 7+9x
B's age = 7+4x
But its given that their ages are in the ratio 5:3
According to problem,
(7+9x)/(7+4x)=5/3
=> 5(7+4x)=3(7+9x)
=> 35 + 20x = 21 + 27x
=> 20x-27x = 21 - 35
=> -7x = -14
=> x = 14/7 = 2
So, Present age of A = 9×2 = 18 years
Present age of B = 4×2 = 8 years
Then, seven year's hence,
A's age = 7+9x
B's age = 7+4x
But its given that their ages are in the ratio 5:3
According to problem,
(7+9x)/(7+4x)=5/3
=> 5(7+4x)=3(7+9x)
=> 35 + 20x = 21 + 27x
=> 20x-27x = 21 - 35
