\green{Given :-}

 • The ages of Akbar and Rahim are in the ratio of 3:5.
 • Five years later the sum of their ages will be 50 years.

\green{To Find:-}

 • What are their present ages.

\red{Solution}

Let, Present age of Akbar = 3

Present age of Rahim = 5

\red{Five Years Later:}

Age of Akbar = ( 3x + 5 ) years

Age of Rahim = ( 5x + 5 ) years

\red{According To The Question}

(3x + 5) + (5x + 5) = 50 \\ = > 3x + 5 + 5x + 5 = 50 \\ = > 8x + 10 = 50 \\ = > 8x = 50 - 10 \\ = > 8x = 40 \\ = > x = 5 \: years

Hence, the required ages of Akbar and Rahim Are:

3x years

=>3×5 years

=>15 years

present age of Rahim

5x years

=>5×5 years

=>25 years

Hence, the present age of Akbar is 15 years and present age of Rahim is 25 years respectively.
