The age of Anil = (3X+4) years

The age of Sohan = (8X+4) years

The ratio of the ages of Anil and Sohan after

4 years = (3X+4) : (8X+4)

The ratio of their ages after 4 years = 1:2

=> (3X+4) : (8X+4) = 1:2

=> (3X+4) / (8X+4) = 1 / 2

On applying cross multiplication then
