Let the age of Asha be 7x

and age of sushma be 2x

then, 7x+8/2x+8=5/2

2/7x+8=5/2x+8

14x+16=10x+40

14x-10x=40-16

4x=24

x=6

age of asha=6*7=42

age of sushma =6*2=12
