Age of grandfather be 8x.

That is,
Now we can substitute 10 instead of x and thus we can find their age.
⇒ Age of Kanika = 3 x
⇒ 3x = 3 × 10 = 30
⇒ Age of grandfather = 8 x
⇒ 8x = 8 × 10 = 80.
