Let the present age of Leena and Helena be 7x and 5x respectively .
Age of Leena 10 years hence = 7x+10
Age of Helen 10 years hence = 5x+10
Ratio of ages after 10 years = 9:7= 9/7

7x+10/5x+10=9/7
by cross multiplication we get,
7(7x+10) = 9(5x+10)
49x+70= 45x+90
49x-45x = 90-70
4x= 20
x = 20/4
x= 5
Present age of Leena =7x = 7× 5= 35 years.
Present age of Helena = 5x = 5×5= 25 years.

now x+10/y+10=9/7 and and x/y=7/5
so x/y=7/5
x=7y/5 now put this in the first eqn
