"Let The two ages be A years and B years.

Their ages are in the ratio 6:6.

So, A/B= 6:6.

Thus, A= B.

According to the question, by adding their number we get 44.

So, 6x+6x= 44

12x=44

X=44/12

X=11/3.

Thus, not possible.

Moreover,If the two ages are identical, they will never have a ratio of 8:7.

Heence,the first ratio shouldn't be 6:6.

Let the two person = A and B

Age of A and B in ratio = 6:6

= A=B

A to Q , by adding the number we get 44

so,

=6x +6x= 44

= 12x=44

=×=44/12

x= 11/ 3

not possible...

they will never have the ratio 8:7

first ratio should be 6:6
