Now,

It is given that after 7years the sum of their ages will be 62years

So,

$\rm \to (3x + 7) + (5x + 7) = 62$

$\rm \to 3x + 7 + 5x + 7 = 62$

$\rm \to 3x + 5x + 7 + 7= 62$

$\rm \to 8x + 14= 62$

$\rm \to 8x = 62 - 14$

$\rm \to 8x = 48$

$\rm \to x = \cancel{ \dfrac{48}{8} } = 6$

So,
