Answer:

Solution:-

Ratio of ages= 3:4

Let Ram's age = 3x ….Shyam's age = 4x

A.T.Q

After 5 yr

Age of Ram = 3x + 5

Age of Shyam = 4x + 5

So,3x +5 + 4x + 5 = 45

7x + 10 = 45

7x = 35

x = 5

So, Ram's age = 5× 3 = 15 yrs

Shyam's age = 4× 5 = 20 yr

Solution :

\textsf{Let the common ratio be x}

\textsf{Now, Age of Ram= 3x Age of Shyam= 4x}

\textsf{Ages after five years,}

\textsf{Age of Ram after years= (3x+5)years}

\textsf{Age of Shyam after five years=(4x+5)years}

\textsf{Now, sum of ages of ram and Shyam after five years= 45}

\bold{ \implies (3x + 5) + (4x + 5) = 45}

\bold{ \implies7x + 10 = 45}

\bold{ \implies7x = 45 - 10}

\bold{ \implies7x = 35}

\bold{ \implies \: x = \frac{35}{7}}

\huge\purple\star\red{\boxed{ \underline{ \mathfrak{ \implies \: x = 5}}}}

\textsf{Present age of ram =3x= 3(5)= 15 years}

\textsf{Present age of Shyam= 4x= 4(5)= 20 years}
