Let the current age of Rahul and Haroon be 5x and 7x respectively

Four years later their ages become 5x + 4 and 7x + 4 respectively.

According to the question,

5x + 4 +7x + 4 = 56

or 12x + 8 = 56

Transposing 8 to the RHS we get,

12x = 48

Dividing both sides by 12 gives,

x = 48/12 = 4

Thus current age of Rahul = 5*4 = 20

Haroon = 7*4 = 28

Answer:

Reema's age = 18

Mehul's age = 18

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the question

The ratio of ages = 6:6

so,

Reema's age four years later = 6x+4

Mehul's age four years later = 6x+4

As sum of ages = 44

We have to add the ages of both

their present ages =6x+4 + 6x+4 = 44

(adding the like terms)

6x+6x+4+4=44

12x+8=44

12x=44-4

12x=36

x=36/12

x=3

Now,

Reema's present age = 6x = 6×3 = 18

Mehul's present age = 6x = 6×3 = 18
