Given : The ages of Rex and Sweta are in the ratio of 8:7, Six years later.

To find : Their ages will be in the ratio 10:9. Find their ages.

Calculations :

→ Let "x" be difference in their ages.

→ 8 + 6/7 + 6 = 10/9

→ 72 + 54 = 70 + 60

→ 72 - 70x = 60 - 54 (Cross multiplication)

→ x = 6/2

→ x = 3

Substitute the above values :

→ Rex's age = 8 (3)

→ Rex's age = 24 years

→ Sweta's age = 7 (3)

→ Sweta's age = 21 years
