let their present age be 9x and 10x

6 yrs ago, the sum of their age was 45

therefore 9x - 6 + 10x - 6 = 45 yrs

>> 19x - 12 = 45 yrs

>> 19x = 45 + 12

>> 19x = 57

>> x = 57/19

>> x = 3

hence, present age of Rohit = 9x = 9 × 3 = 27 yrs

present age of Mohit = 10x = 10 × 3 = 30 yrs
