After 4 years age of sahil = ( 5x + 4 ) .



And,

After 4 years age of Anwar = ( 7x + 4 ).





According to the question,



5x + 4 + 7x + 4 = 56



12x + 8 = 56


12x = 56 - 8



12x = 48


x = 48/12



x = 4.


Therefore,


Present age of sahil = 5x = 5 × 4 = 20 year's.


And,


Present age of Anwar = 7x = 7 × 4 = 28 years.

As per your question,

Let the present age of Sahil be 5x

& Present Age of Anwar be 7x

Now,
After 4 years age of Sahil = 5x+4 ------(1)
Similarly,
After 4 years age of Anwar = 7x+4 ------(2)

From equation (1)&(2),

=> 5x+4+7x+4 = 56

=> 5x+7x+4+4 = 56

=> 12x + 8 = 56

=> 12x = 56-8

=> 12x = 48

$x = \frac{48}{12} = 4$

Hence,

Present age of Sahil = 5x = 20 years
&
Present Age of Anwar = 7x = 28 years
