GIVEN :-

• Age of Sayuj and Rahul are in the ratio 5 : 7 .

• After 6 years , their ages will be in the ratio 3 : 4 .

TO FIND :-

• Present age of Sayuj

• Present age of Rahul

SOLUTION :-

  Let ,

  Present age of Sayuj = 5x

  Present age of Rahul = 7x

  After six years ,

  Age of Sayuj = 5x + 6

  Age of Rahul = 7x + 6

 According to the question ,

      $\sf\dfrac{5x+6}{7x+6}=\dfrac{3}{4}$

 $\longrightarrow \sf 4(5x+6)=3(7x+6) \\\\\longrightarrow 20x +24 = 21x+18 \\\\\longrightarrow 21x-20x=24-18 \\\\\longrightarrow x = 6$

Present age of Sayuj = 30 years

Present age of Rahul = 42 years
