let,the present age of Sonam is=7x years and

the present age of mawi is =5x years

10 years later ,

the age of Sonam will be =(7x+10) years

and the age of mawi will be=(5x+10) years

now.according to the problem...

$\frac{7x + 10}{5x + 10} = \frac{9}{7} \\ = > 49x + 70 = 45x + 90 \\ = > 4x = 20 \\ = > x = \frac{20}{4} \\ = > x = 5$

therefore the present age of Sonam is =35 years

and of mawi is =25 years.
