Let the age of son be x years and father be 2x years, then;

2x + 8 = 3(x+8) + 4

or, 2x + 8 = 3x + 24 + 4

or, -x = 20

or, x = 20

Hence, the age of son is 20 years and that of father is 40 years.

HOPE THIS COULD HELP!!!
