A = 6 years 8 months = 6 8/12 years = 6 2/3 years = 20/3 years

B = 7 years 4 months = 7 4/12 years = 7 1/3 years = 22/3 years

A : B
= 20/3 : 22/3 (multiply with 3)
= 20 : 22
= 10 : 11

The A portion of the money
= 10/(10 + 11) × 3,150
= 10/21 × 3,150
= 1,500

The B portion of the money
= 11/21 × 3,150
= 1,650

Answer:

The age of A is 6years 8/12months.

so the age of A will be 6 years 2/3 months and the age of B is 7years 4/12months.

so the age of B will be 7years 1/3months.

The age of

A=20/3

B=22/3

(multiplying both a&b with 1/3)

A=20

B=22

The ratio of A and B will be

20/22 = 10/11

Ratio to their ages =

part A= 10/(10+11)×3150

=10/21×3150=10×150=1500

part B=11/(10+11)×3150

=11/21×3150

=11×150

=1650
