let the two brothers be A, B

The ratio of age of A is 2x

The ratio of age of B is 3x

given

 \frac{2x + 3}{3x + 3}  =  \frac{5}{7}

14x+21 = 15x+15

x = 6

the present age of A = 2x

=2(6) = 12

the present age of B = 3x

ANSWER:

12 yr and 18yr

Step by step:

First brother =2x

second brother =3x

2x+3/3x+3=5/7

(2x+3)7=(3x+3)5

14x+21=15x+15

21-15=15x-14x

6=x

First brother =6×2=12yr

second brother =6×3=18yr
