before 18 years their age is( 7x -18)& (5x-17)

then ATQ the equation Will be

(7x - 18)/(5x-18)=8/13(it is the present ages)

13(5x-18)=8(7x-18) (cross multiplication)

65x -234=56x-144

65x-56x =-144+234(transportation)

9x=90

x=10

now we will put the values of x

5*10=50

7*10=70
