age of younger one = x
age of elder one = x +20 (A.T.Q.)
now
5years ago,
age of younger one = x - 5
age of elder one = (x+20) - 5 = x + 15
now A.T.Q. elder one is 5 time as old as the younger one
writing this in equation
we get
x + 15 = 5(x - 5)
x + 15 = 5x - 25
4x = 40
x= 10
so
age of younger one is 10
and age of elder one is = x +20 = 10 + 20 = 30.
