Given,

The ratio of present ages of A&B = 4:3

The ratio of their ages after 6 years = 11:9

To find,

The present age of A

Solution,

Let present age of A= 4x

Let present age of B= 3x

Let the age of A after 6 years= 11y

Let the age of B after 6 years= 9y

According to the question,

4x+6 = 11y & 3x+6 = 9y

On solving the above 2 equations,

we get,

y=2

x=4

The present age of A becomes 4x= 4 × 4=16 years

Hence, the present age of A= 16 years.
