the aircraft travelling at 600km/h accelerate steadily at 10km/h per second.taking the speed of sound as 1100km/h at the aircraft's altitude,how long will it take to reach the sound barrier?

Initial velocity(u)= 600km/hr

=> 600*5/18= 500/3 m/s

And, Final velocity(v)= 1100km/hr

=> 1100*5/18= 2750/9 m/s

Acceleration(a)= 10km/hr

=> 10*5/18= 25/9 m/s

Time taken to reach the sound barrier= ?

Formula: v= u+at( First eq^n of motion)

2750/9= 500/3+ 25/9 t

2750/9= 1500+25t/9

2750= 1500+25t

2750-1500= 25t

25t= 1250

t= 1250/25

t= 50s

Answer: Time taken to reach the sound barrier= 50s....
