Mr. Anagnos, who supported her initially, also drifted apart because he lost trust in her. The whole period was very dull and traumatic for Helen. Since people, didn't believe her, she was hurt as she had let down her loved ones even when it was not done intentionally.

It was written by Miss Margaret T. Canby. This caused many to accuse Helen of plagiarism since the stories were similar in thought and language.
