▶ Question :-

→ The ratio of altitude and base of a triangle is 1 : 2 respectively and area is 9 m² . Find its base and altitude .

▶ Answer :-

→ Let the ratio be x .

i.e., altitude = x and base = 2x .

▶ Now,

We know that :-

\begin{gathered} \sf \because area \: of \: triangle = \frac{1}{2} \times base \times height. \\ \\ \sf \implies 9 = \frac{1}{ \cancel2} \times \cancel2x \times x. \\ \\ \sf \implies9 = {x}^{2} . \\ \\ \sf \implies x = \sqrt{9} . \\ \\ \pink{ \sf \therefore x = 3m.}\end{gathered}

Therefore, altitude = x = 3m .

And, base = 2x = 2 × 3 = 6m
