HEYA MATE!!

Let the base be x cm

And altitude be ( x - 7 ) cm

Now,

By Pythagoras Theorem...

( H^2) = ( P^2) + ( B^2)

169 = x2 + ( x - 7 ) 2

169 = x2 + x2 + 49 - 14x

2x^2 -14x - 120 = 0

x2 - 7x - 60 = 0

x2 - 12x + 5x - 60 = 0

x ( x - 12 ) + 5 ( x - 12 ) = 0

Hence , x = 12

So Altitude = 5 cm.

And base = 12 cm

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU...
