Answer:
area= 1/2×base× altitude
let base be x
altitude= 3x/5
area= 1/2× x × 3x/5
3x²/10
now if, altitude= 3x/5-4
= 3x-20/5
and base =x+10
then area is same that is 3x²/10
therefore, 1/2× (x+10)×(3x-20)/5 = 3x²/10
= 1/2 × 3x² +30x -20x-200/5
3x²+10x-200/10 = 3x²/10
by cross multiply (10 on both sides will get cancel)
3x²+10x-200=3x²
10x-200=0
10x=200
x=200/10
x=20
base=x=20m
altitude=3x/5= 3×20/5 =12m.
