Answer:

P=600

r=20%

t=1

I= prt/100

I=600*20*1/100

=120

A=p+I

=600+120

=Rs.720

we know that,

A = P(1+R/200)²ⁿ (when interest is compounded semi annually)

hence,

P = 600 R = 20% n = 1 year(2 half years)

A = 600(1+20/200)²⁽¹⁾

A = 600(200+20/200)²

600(220/200)² (220 and 200 are reduced to it's lowest terms)

600(11/10)²

600*11/10*11/10 (10 and 10 cancel out the zeros of 600)

A = 6*11*11

A = 726

CI = A - P

CI = 726 - 600

CI = 126
