the amount of extension in an elastic string in a direct variation with the with her on it if a weight of 250 produces an extension of 3.5 CM then what weight would produce an extension of 21cm

250 / 3.5 = x / 21

x = ( 250 / 3.5 ) * 21

x = 71.428 * 21

x = 1499. 988 = 1500N
