The balanced chemical equation is,
Zn + 2 HCl -----------> ZnCl₂ + H₂
So, 1 mole of Zn will produce 1 mole of H₂, which is 22,400 ml.
Number of moles of H₂ in 1.12 ml = 1.12/22400 = 5 x 10⁻⁵
So, 5 x 10⁻⁵ moles of Zn is required.
Mass of 5 x 10⁻⁵ moles of Zn = 5 x 10⁻⁵ x atomic mass
= 5 x 10⁻⁵ x 65
= 3.25 x 10⁻³ grams of Zn is formed.
Hope it helps!!
