Poem Pomegranates written in sijo a Korean poetic form that had its source in the Goryeo period.

This form of poetry thrived during the Joseon Dynasty and it is written till now.

Ancient Korean verse form traditionally consists of three unrhymed lines but in view of compression and brevity, Pomegranates seems to have written in the Japanese haiku.

Haiku is a three-line scene about a fleeting moment including nature.

But looking through the framework of this poem it shows that the poem has an influence of both forms normally i.e. Korean sijo and Japanese Haiku.
