The Ancient Greek philosopher Epicurus thought that pleasure was the most important thing. However, there was a German philosopher much later on called Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) who thought very differently. He thought that pain and difficulty were just as important, if not more important, than pleasure. Who do you agree with on this issue and why?
