The angle BAC is a right angle and AD is perpendicular to BC;AB=4cm, AC=3cm and BD=x. calculate x.​

(BC)² = (AC)² + (AB)²

(BC)² = (3)² + (4)²

(BC)² = 9 + 16

(BC)² = 25

(BC) = √25 = 5

Now, the seg(AD) bisects the line BC perpendicularly. To find x i.e. Seg (BD),

x = 1/2 × 5

x = 5/2
