We know that velocity ratio,
Therefore, ω1 / ω = cos α / 1 – cos2θsin2α
We know that velocity ratio,
Therefore, ω1 / ω = cos α / 1 – cos2θsin2α
The velocity ratio will be maximum when cos2θ is minimum, i.e. when it is at unity, cos2θ = 1
Therefore, θ = 0° or 180°.
