SOLUTION

TO DETERMINE

The angle between the lines goes through the points (4, 7, 8), (2, 3, 4) and (-1, -2, 1), (1, 2, 5)

EVALUATION

Here it is given that two lines goes through the points (4, 7, 8), (2, 3, 4) and (-1, -2, 1), (1, 2, 5) respectively

Now for the first line the points are (4, 7, 8), (2, 3, 4)

So the direction ratio of the first line is

4 - 2 , 7 - 3 , 8 - 4

i.e 2 , 4 , 4

Again for the first line the points are (-1, -2, 1), (1, 2, 5)

So the direction ratio of the first line is

- 1 - 1 , - 2 - 2 , 1 - 5

i.e - 2 , - 4 , - 4

\displaystyle\sf{Clearly  \:  \:  \frac{2}{ - 2} =  \frac{4}{ - 4}  =  \frac{4}{ - 4}  }

So the lines are parallel

So the angle between the given lines = 0°

FINAL ANSWER

The angle between the given lines = 0°
