Given :

Incident ray makes an angle of 45° with surface of mirror

Mirror is inclined at an angle of 30° with horizontal surface

θ is made by the reflected ray from the horizontal surface

To Find :

Value of 'θ'

Solution :

•Incident ray makes an angle of 45° with surface of mirror

=> Incident ray makes an angle of 45° with normal

• According to Laws of reflection ,

Angle of incidence is equal to angle of reflection

=> angle of reflection = 45°

•Now , θ = 30° + 45° + <i + <r

θ = 30° + 45 ° + 45 ° + 45 °

θ = 160°

•Hence , value of θ is 165°
