From the figure , we get

GIVEN :-

AB = Height of tower = 12 m

AC = Distance of point from tower = x m

Angle of depression ,

DAC = CAB = 30°

R.T.P :-

To find the distance of point from the top of the tower.

SOLUTION :-

We know that,

 \sin =  \frac{opposite \: side}{hypotenuse}

here opposite side = 12 m

hypotenuse = x

substitute sin 30° and all the values , we get

 \sin(30)  =  \frac{12}{x}

we know that sin 30 ° = 1/2

 \frac{1}{2}  =  \frac{12}{x}

x = 12  \times 2 = 24

Therefore the distance of point from the top of the tower is 24 m

  • I hope it helps you......✌️✌️✌️
