Let AB be a tower and C be a point on a group.

Height of tower (AB) = 40m

Angle of depression = 30°

Tan 30° = P/B = AB/BC

1/✓3 = 40/BC

BC = 40✓3.

HENCE,
B IS 40 ✓3 METER AWAY FROM THE FOOT OF A TOWER

Let XY be a tower and C be a point on a ground

XY = 40m

Angle of depression = 30°

Tan 30° = P/B = XY/XC

1/✓3 = 40/XC

XC = 40✓3.

HENCE,
XC IS 40 ✓3 METER AWAY FROM THE FOOT OF A TOWER
