Let the distance between ship & tower be x metre.
Now,
In ∆ SOT, tan theta = ST/TO
=) tan 30°= 30/x
=) 1/√3= 30/x
=) x= 30√3
=)x= 30× 1.732
=) x= 51.96 metre
