since, we have only two information as the height of smaller tree and angle of depression.

We assume the height of larger tree if h feet and the distance between both trees, is x feet.

Then,

  • tan 60\degree = \dfrac{h}{x}
  • \sqrt{3} = \dfrac{h}{x}
  • h = x\sqrt{3}

But, we have no any  information that we would use the height of smaller tree.
