The speed of jet plane is 439.2304 km/hr

  1. First draw the figure for the given question.
  2. Now find the distance on the ground at 45° using tan(A)=opposite side/adjacent side. You will get distance equal to 2500m.
  3. Similarly, find distance for angle at 30°, then subtract the distance for 45° from 30° you will get distance =1830.1270m.
  4. Now using formula speed=distance/time you will get speed=122.0084m/s.
  5. To get it in km/hr multiply it by 18 and divide by 5 or multiply by 3600 and divide by 1000
  6. So your answer is 439.2304 km/hr.
