The angle of elevation of a ladder leaning against a wall is 60コ and the foot of the ladder is 4.6 m away from the wall. The length of the ladder is:

let AB represent the ladder , BC as wall and AC as ground
therefore in triangle ABC  cos 60= AC/AB
                                      1/2=4.6/AB
                                       AB = 9.2 m
