Let a point D in a Ground.
And AB be a tower.
THE ANGLE OF ELEVATION FROM THE TOWER AB TO A POINT D IN A GROUND IS 45°.
THE DISTANCE BETWEEN POINT D TO POINT C IS 40M .
LET THE DISTANCE BETWEEN POINT C TO B BE X M.
THEN,
DB = (40+ X)M
IN RIGHT TRIANGLE ABD.
COT45° = DB/AB
1 = 40+X/AB
X = AB-40.....(1)
1 = AB/DB
1= AB/ 40+ X.
40+ X = AB
X = AB - 40...(1)
IN RIGHT TRIANGLE ABC.
COT 60° = BC/AB
1/✓3 = X/AB = X = AB×1/✓3...(2)
EQUATING THE VALUE OF X FROM (1) AND (2).
SOLVE THIS TWO EQUATION U WILL GET THE HEIGHT OF TOWER AB..
