The angle of elevation of the top of a tower at the foot of a house is 60° and the angle of elevation of the top of house at the foot of tower is 30°. If the house is 20 m high, what is the height of tower.

AB - ht of tower =hm
CD - ht of house =20m
Angles of elevation - 30 & 60

Now,
In triangle BCD, C=90 & B=30
tan30=CD /BC
1/root3 = 20/BC
BC =20root3....

Now,
In triangle ABC, B=90 & C=60
Tan60=AB /BC
root 3 = h/20root3
h = 20*3 = 60m

So,the ht of tower is 60m...
