The angle of elevation of the top of a tower from a point a on the back ground is 30 degree on moving a distance of 20 m towards the foot of the tower to a point P the angle of elevation increases to 60 degree find the height of the tower and the distance of the tower from the point A

In rt agle triangle APB

BP/PA=tan30

BP/20=1/√3

BP(height)=20/√3

And in same triangle

PA/BA=cos30

20/BA=√3/2

BA=40/√3
