Given:

The angle of elevation of the top of a tower from a point on the ground that is 30m away from the foot of the  tower is 45 Degrees.

To Find:

Find the height of the tower

Solution:

It is given that the angle of elevation of the top of a tower from a point 30m away is 45 degrees, let the height of the tower be x,

We can form a right angle triangle from the following case in which the perpendicular will be the height of the tower which is x and the base will be the distance of the tower and the point which is 30m and angle theta is 45 degrees,

now we can use simple trigonometry that is,

tan\theta =\frac{p}{b}\\tan45=\frac{x}{30}\\\frac{x}{30} =1 \\x=30

So the height of the tower will also be equal to 30m as the value of tan 45 is 1.

Hence, the height of the tower is 30m.

Right Question:
