The angle of elevation of the top of the building from a point on the ground which is 20 m away from the foot of the building is 45. Find the height of building.

Let AB be the height of building
Then AB=‘x’m
Let BC be the point from the foot of building to the point C
BC = 20 m
Angle of elevation (theta ø ) |_ACB = 45
In Trianlge ABC
Tanø = opposite side / adjacent side
Tan45= AB /BC
1 = x/20
x= 20 m
Therefore , length of building is 20m
