Now, given that angle of elevation of top of first storey is 30°,

tan ∠ACB =  AB/BC

=> tan 30° = AB/15

=> AB = 15/√3

=> AB = 5√3.

Hence the first storey is 5√3 m high.

Angle of elevation of the top of second storey is given as 45°

i.e., ∠DCB = 45°

=> tan 45° = DB/BC

=>1 = DB/15

=>DB = 5m.

Hence the second storey is 15 m high.
