tan@=h/a .......eq(1),

tan(90-@)=h/b
cot@=h/b .........eq(2),

multiplying eq(1) and eq(2), we get

tan@ × cot@=h/a × h/b,

1=h²/ab,

h²=ab,

then
h=√ab
