Please refer to the given figure,
AD = BC = 60m
Tan 60° = BC/AB
√3 = 60/AB
AB = 60/√3 = 34.64m
Distance between the building and lighthouse = 34.64m
Now, Tan 30° = EB/AB
1/√3 = EB/34.64
EB = 34.64/√3 = 19.999 = 20m
Total height of the lighthouse = 60+20 = 80m
Difference between the heights = 80-60 = 20m
